Sun is Proof of Shadows
Have you not had a glance of (the Might of) your Lord, how He lengthens the shadow (till noon)? And had He willed, He could certainly have made it stationary. Then We have made the sun a proof of this (shadow). Sura Furqan Ayat 45.
Shadows are mostly thought of as being two-dimensional areas of darkness brought about by the absence of illumination due to opaque objects that break the pathway of light. Like every creation of Allah (God), shadows not only serve a purpose for mankind but also act as evidence supporting the greatness of Allah(God).
