Pahlavi Dynasty was the last ruling house over Iran. The Pahlavi Dynasty was established in 1925. Near about, after 2.5 centuries, the monarchy in Iran was abolished in the result of Islamic Revolution in 1979. * Watch an Urdu Documentary about Islamic Revolution in Iran.

On 08 January 1936, King, issued a decree known as Kashf e Hijab. He was a Pro-Western Ruler in Iran who desired to change the Islamic traditions in the society. So he banned all kind of Islamic veils in the society. This law was implemented forcefully in Iran. Even the government of Iran also banned traditional male clothing in society. The police were ordered to remove the scarf or Chador physically if a woman wore it in public. It was a deep wound for Iranian Public.
The law of Kashf e Hijab was welcomed warmly by upper class of Iran. The banning of veil in Iranian society was not started at once. It was started by the Christian Missionary in Iran. The staff of their hospitals and schools used western dress. Later on the literature from Western countries also left a deep effect in Iran. Once, an Afghani delegation arrived in Iran wherein ladies had wore western styled dress. Which was much liked by Iranian Elite Class ladies.
In the same year, the Iranian king visited Turkey and he was much impressed by seeing many new traditions introduced by Ata Turk. Then, the king of Iran ordered his office women to appear without veiling. At last the Hijab and Chador was banned in Iran.
