Iranian Islamic Revolution 1979-Collapse of Ancient Monarchy in Iran

Reza Shah Pehlwi who was the last King of Iran was educated in Switzerland. He came back to Iran and was accessioned dramatically in 1941. Muhammad Reza Shah Pehlwi used his secret police known as Savak to control the country. Imam Khomeini who was the leader of strong opposition party. Imam Khomeini also remained in exile in Iraq and then in France. The revolution was initiated through recorded messages of  Imam Khomeini in audio music cassettes. These cassettes were smuggled in Iran and then were copied in large numbers and spread among the public.

        • At last after the strong movement against Shah, on 16 January 1979, he left the country. New prime minister namely Shahpur Bakhtiar tried hard to control the country but failed. It was 1st February of 1979, when Imam Khomeini returned back to Iran. On the other hand prime minister became hidden and then after few days he was revealed in France in exile. Now the operation against the supporters of Raza Shah Pehalwi was started and many dozen people were executed.

          Till the day of 1st April of 1979, Imam Khomeini and his followers got many landsliding victories. At last a referendum was arranged at national level in Iran with only single choice, Islamic Republic Yes or No. The large number of people of Iran chose the Islamic Republic and later by Imam Khomeini Iran was declared as Islamic Republic as well as Imam Khomeini was selected as Supreme Spiritual Leader. Later on, new Iranian constitution was introduced which had the more and more Islamic reflections in it. Although there were many events of protest was started because of extreme rules and regulations in code of ladies dress. But at all it was a successful Islamic revolution. I personally, recommend the Muslims not to see such revolution at level of Shiites Sect, at level of Persian Geography and at level of Farsi language system.
