Then Ali appointed Malik e Ashtar as governor of Egypt. In compliance of orders of Caliph/ Imam , Ashtar left Kufa and departed to Egypt. On the way to his destination, Ashtar decided to stay at Qilzim, because there a person who was agreed to give poison to Ashtar in food, he was given this task from Muawiya. When Muawiya heard the news of death of Ashtar he rejoiced.
