Doctor Ghulam Jilani Barq was born in 1901 in Lesbaal, District Attock. He belonged to a deeply religious and scholarly family. His father, M. Qasim, was an Imam who established a mosque in their town, and both his parents were respected figures in the community. Growing up in such an environment, Barq developed a strong connection with Islamic teachings from an early age.

He received his early education from local religious scholars and later continued his studies under highly qualified teachers of Islamic sciences. His dedication to learning and intellectual curiosity helped him become a prominent scholar and writer. Over time, he gained recognition for his unique approach to understanding religion, combining traditional knowledge with thoughtful analysis.
