All journeys cause difficulties and require efforts. Imam Ghazzali (r.a.) writes that whatever a person spends during Hajj he should spend it happily. One must bear all the physical and material losses for it, as it is the sign of acceptance of Hajj. Difficulties in Hajj are same as that in Jihad. Hence there is a great reward for all the effort and they won’t go waste. According to a tradition, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said to Hazrat Aisha (r.a.), “O Aisha, the reward of the Hajj is according to the effort undertaken by you.”
