When Pilgrims reaches a stated place called Miqat, there they have to dress up in two pieces of white cloth, for ladies the dress is different. Sewed cloths are not allowed for men, even under-ware cloths are not permitted for men. Now after dressing up these white cloth pieces refraining from many acts like nail and hair cutting/removing, sexual relations, perfumes, killing animals, damaging plants, covering head for men, face and hands for ladies, even to carry weapons and marrying is not allowed in this state of Ihram.
