The Appearance of Gog and Magog – Signs Before the Final Hour
The Appearance of Gog and Magog discusses one of the major events described in Islamic teachings about the signs before the Day of Judgment. Various prophetic traditions mention the emergence of Gog and Magog as a significant event that will occur close to the final hour of the world. These events are connected with other major signs such as the appearance of the Dajjal and the return of Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him.

According to a narration reported by Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) described events related to the end of time during the Night Journey. In the narration, the matter of the final hour was discussed among earlier prophets including Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa. Each emphasized that the exact timing of the Day of Judgment is known only to Allah.
The narration explains that after the defeat of the Dajjal, the world will witness the emergence of Gog and Magog. These tribes will spread across the earth, causing destruction and consuming resources wherever they go. Eventually, the believers will seek help from Allah, and their prayers will be answered.
Islamic traditions describe that Allah will destroy Gog and Magog and cleanse the earth afterward. These events will occur close to the Day of Judgment, reminding believers that the ultimate knowledge of the final hour belongs only to Allah.
