Jab Tak Hai Jaan is written and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The late filmmaker Yash Chopra returned to direction after almost 8 years, post ‘Veer-Zaara’ (2004). Jab Tak Hai Jaan is Yashji’s last directorial movie, where he sadly passed away on Oct 21, 2012. Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a romantic drama starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead role in the movie.The background score and soundtrack is composed by music A. R. Rahman, whereas the lyrics of Jab Tak Hai Jaan are written down by Gulzar. A part of song in Jab Tak Hai Jaan was remained to shoot in Switzerland, but was left because of the sudden death of Yash Chopra. The cast and crew of Jab Tak Hai Jaan decided not to tamper the vision of the filmmaker, and it was not added in the film. Shahrukh Khan is playing the role of Samar in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which will span two ages, one in his late 20’s as a musician living in London, and the other one of an older age as a reserved, calm and loyal army officer living in Kashmir. Katrina Kaif plays the role of Meera in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which is described as a typical Yash Chopra glam girl, and an unattainable beauty. Anushka Sharma plays the role of Akira in Jab Tak Hai Jaan – a 21-year-old energetic girl who works for Discovery Channel and makes documentaries. ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was released on Diwali 2013.
