Prophet’s Visit to Taif = Extraordinary Hardship Faced by Muhammad PNUH

As well as the people of Mecca boycotted the Family of Abu Talib. The whole family belonged to Tribe of Hashmi were forced to live in Valley of Abi Talib for three years. After these three years the wife of Prophet Muhammad pbuh, Khadija and uncle of Muhammad pbuh, Abu Talib passed away. This time was very hard for Muhammad pbuh and the idolater society of Mecca became inhospitable for Muhammad pbuh.

The enemies were now relieved because Abu Talib was no more to protect. A few days after Abu Talib’s death, when the Prophet peace and blessings are upon him was once passing through a lane, a woman emptied her garbage from a window upon his head. He returned home with his head soiled. His young daughter Fatima (RA) sat beside him, consoling and washing off the dirt.

People of Taif were no more different from people of Mecca, they set a vagabond group behind Prophet: 

Such group threw stones at Prophet PBUH. Due to wounds, tiredness and forsaken, Prophet Muhammad pbuh took refuge in a garden which was owned by Attaba and Shaibah. They were watching the whole case. They sent their Christian Slave, Addas to Prophet pbuh with a plate of grapes. Muhammad asked the name of Slave. He replied I am Addas from Nainava. Muhammad pbuh told him that you are from the land of Jonah son of Mati who is my brother.
