During the tragic events of Karbala, the camp of Imam Hussain (AS) faced severe hardship, especially due to the shortage of water in the desert. According to historical narrations, Hazrat Abbas (AS) was asked by his young niece Hazrat Sakina (SA) to bring water for the thirsty children in the camp. Despite the dangers surrounding the river Euphrates, Hazrat Abbas (AS) bravely made his way toward the water in order to help the family of Imam Hussain (AS).

It is narrated that although Hazrat Abbas (AS) himself was extremely thirsty, he did not drink any water. Instead, he filled a water container so that it could be taken back to the children and members of the camp who were suffering from thirst. This act of selflessness and devotion became one of the most powerful examples of loyalty in the story of Karbala.

Hazrat Abbas (AS) also served as the standard-bearer of Imam Hussain’s army during the battle. His bravery, commitment, and dedication to the cause of truth earned him the title Tajdaar e Wafa, meaning the “Crown of Loyalty.” His sacrifice remains deeply respected and remembered by those who study the history of Karbala.

Overall, Tajdaar e Wafa (Abbas bin Ali) presents readers with a brief account of the life, courage, and devotion of Hazrat Abbas (AS). The book reflects on his loyalty, bravery, and the lasting inspiration he provides through his sacrifice in the battle of Karbala.
