The author states that during his study he encountered several books presenting the following views:
- The Prophet ﷺ was not granted knowledge of worldly matters, only religious matters.
- The Prophet ﷺ did not possess knowledge of Qur’anic Mutashabihat (ambiguous verses).
- The Prophet ﷺ was informed about only a few hypocrites, not all of them.
However, the majority position among Muslims differs. According to this view, Allah granted the Prophet ﷺ knowledge about the hypocrites, their conspiracies, and the necessary means to protect the Muslim community from their plots.
After reviewing centuries of Islamic scholarship with academic honesty, the author concludes that the majority opinion is stronger and supported by substantial evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
