The Parthian is also known as the Arsacid empire. It was a major and important political and cultural power in Iran (Persian).

It was the last powerful kingdom of Iran before the Islam arrived. Ardashir I was its founder. The Sassanian, Sasanid, Sassanid or Neo-Persian Empire ruled from 224 to 651 AD.
