Necessary and Important Islamic Issues of Ramadan
Masail e Ramzan is an important Urdu Islamic booklet compiled by Mufti Ahmed Mumtaz. This book gathers essential rulings related to Ramadan so that Muslims can perform their عبادات correctly according to Shariah. The virtues of Ramadan are clearly mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and Ahadith, but those virtues can only be attained when worship is performed in accordance with proper Islamic rulings.

It also explains important matters related to fasting (Roza) and I‘tikaf during the blessed month.
Since many Muslims prefer to pay Zakat in Ramadan, the author has also discussed whether fixing a Zakat date is obligatory and whether Zakat is specifically connected with Ramadan. The book highlights the best uses of Zakat, Sadaqat, and donations, and clearly states that begging for Zakat and giving it to professional beggars is not permissible.
The rulings of Sadqa Fitr and the method of offering Eid prayer, including the rulings for a latecomer (Masbuq), are also explained in a simple and practical manner.
The purpose of this short booklet is to ensure that Muslims observe Ramadan in a way that brings reward instead of risk. Acting without knowledge of proper rulings may lead to mistakes, therefore understanding these Masail is extremely important.
