Ghazwa-e-Badr by Allama Muhammad Ahmed Bashmil explores Islam’s first decisive battle and the struggles that shaped Islamic power and history.
The decisive battle that established Islam’s strength and changed the course of history
Ghazwa-e-Badr is the first book in a comprehensive historical series authored by Allama Muhammad Ahmed Bashmil, dedicated to the decisive battles of Islam that reshaped power, belief, and the direction of world history. The author states that, by the will of Allah, this series aims to present a detailed and authentic account of the struggles through which the Islamic state was established and its message spread across the world.
This series does not limit itself only to those battles in which Muslims achieved complete victory, such as the Battle of Badr, but also includes famous and difficult encounters where Muslims faced setbacks. These include battles like Uhud in Yathrib and Balat al-Shuhada (Tours) in France, where opposing forces temporarily gained the upper hand.
The primary objective of this series is to uncover a precious and often neglected treasure of Islamic history—especially for the educated youth of the modern age. It seeks to revive the spirit of courage, sacrifice, and resilience that has been overshadowed due to the influence of external enemies and internal groups aligned with them.
The author highlights how these groups, selected during periods of foreign dominance, were placed in positions of educational leadership, media control, and cultural influence, shaping narratives that distanced younger generations from their true historical legacy.
Ghazwa-e-Badr thus serves not only as a historical account of Islam’s first great victory, but also as a call to reconnect with the moral and spiritual foundations that defined the early Muslim community.
