Civil Resistance Campaign in Series of Street Demonstration–Tunisian Jasmine Revolution

The series of protest against government of Tunis when a person known as Muhammad Bouazizi set himself on fire. He was protesting for employment. It was the December 17th of 2010. He was supporting his family by selling some kind of fruits in street on a cart. His cart was captured and a local official of Municipality demanded bribe from him. It was the why he set fire on himself. It was the initial time when Tunisian Jasmine Revolution started.

        • This incident occurred in central city of Tunis inspired a protest against such corrupt system, poverty and political repression throughout the country. It was November of 1987 when Zainul Abidin bin Ali assumed the presidents charge. He was supported by French and American governments. It was the second reign in Tunis which was ruled by a Dictator again which covered 23 years near about. During the reign of President Zainul Abidin bin Ali, people of Tunis were controlled strictly even they can not arrange any party or ceremony easily. The print and electronic media was also in control of President house. Muslims of Tunis as well as those secular citizens of Tunis who made criticism on policies of Dictator / President Zainul Abidin bin Ali were punished by him. The concept of Freedom of Expression could not be imagined in Tunis. Many journalist and authors were in jails. 

          Tunisian Jasmine Revolution

          There is a tribal system in Tunis. When Bou Azizi set fire on him, he was seriously injured and referred in a hospital for treatment. But all went in vain… Bou Azizi passed away. The news of death spread all around the country. His tribe and relatives jointly started protest in front of hospital. Police used force brutally for such protest, as a result protest was ended temporarily.
