A tribute to Pakistan’s 62nd Independence anniversary, reflecting on its journey, losses, and featured literary stars of August 2009.
The August 2009 issue brings heartfelt reflections as we celebrate Pakistan’s Independence anniversary. Looking back, one wonders what India gained and lost and what Pakistan gained and lost. While Pakistan achieved the triumph of independence, it also lost part of its land and has faced continued challenges. From that day to now, it seems that Pakistan has often been in the position of losing more than gaining.
Yet, with Allah’s mercy, our country continues to endure. We must pray for protection from evil and Satan’s whispers and remain steadfast in our devotion. Ameen.
