Halaat-e-Jahannum – A Quranic and Hadith-Based Account of the Hereafter
Halaat-e-Jahannum is an important Urdu Islamic book authored by Maulana Aashiq Ilahi Buland Shehri. In this work, the author presents a detailed description of Hell (Jahannum) based strictly on Qur’anic verses and authentic Hadith. The purpose of the book is to awaken spiritual consciousness and remind readers of the consequences of deeds according to Islamic teachings.

This lack of awareness leads to negligence in protecting oneself and one’s family from sinful actions. The author compiled these pages in simple and clear Urdu so that every reader may understand and reflect upon the warnings conveyed in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
The book emphasizes the Prophetic teaching: “Save yourselves and your families from the Fire.” According to the author, sincere contemplation of the Qur’anic verses and authentic Hadith regarding the punishment of Hell can soften hearts and motivate believers to abandon sins. When a Muslim truly believes in these realities and reflects deeply upon them, resisting wrongdoing becomes easier and the inclination toward good deeds strengthens.
Towards the end of the book, readers will find selected prayers and supplications seeking protection from Hellfire. The author also suggests reading related works about the events of the Day of Judgment and the blessings of Paradise for a more complete understanding of the Hereafter.
Halaat-e-Jahannum serves as a reformative and reminder-based Islamic text, intended to inspire repentance, moral improvement, and steadfastness upon the path of righteousness. The author humbly requests readers to remember him and the contributors in their prayers.
